Place Banana , Ice into blender
Add greens if using

VARIATION
Thicker: add another scoop of ice or greek yogurt instead of coconut milk
More Protein: swap cocoa powder for your favorite chocolate protein
Nutrient Boost: add in boosters like ground flaxseed, chia seeds, turmeric, ginger a mushroom blend or MCT oil.
TIPS
For a lower carb smoothie, swap out the banana for a small avocado. It will have a different flavor since bananas add some natural sugars but it will taste pretty similar and amazing!
To make ahead of time, blend as directed then pour into a container with a lid and keep in the freezer until about 30-60 minutes before serving, this time will depend on the room temperature and how frozen the smoothie is before thawing.
Adding ice gives it a shake-like texture which I love about this smoothie. If you can’t get it to blend, add a little bit of cold water to the blender and blend until smooth.
FAQ’s
- What kind of coconut milk should I use?
You can use canned or refrigerated. It’s your preference. I use refrigerated kind in a carton that is low in calories and unsweetened.
- How much protein should I use in place of the cocoa?
Since the smoothies are single serving, use one serving of the chocolate protein powder. You can always add cocoa in addition to get a deeper chocolate flavor.
- How do I get that decadent peanut butter drizzle down like in your picture?
Easy! Just melt a little peanut butter in the microwave until it’s runny then drizzle it on top. It will freeze as soon as it settles on the cold smoothie -you’ll have delicious crunchy peanut butter bites on top and it makes it picture worthy!
