It’s made with nothing but whole food ingredients, high protein content and loaded with nutrients that make you feel energized and healthy!

Starting the day with a healthy green smoothie is a great way to ensure you’re getting in a balanced meal first thing to start your day off feeling full, energized and on to making great choices the rest of the day. 

This smoothie is made with all natural ingredients, it’s high in protein from the ingredients alone and can be adjusted to even higher protein needs by adding in your favorite protein powder. 

The fresh greens add a wide variety of nutrients with very little calories making them an excellent nutrient dense add in.  From essential vitamins, to minerals and antioxidants they help support so many things like gut health, proper hormone balance, muscle repair, anti-aging benefits to the skin hair and nails to strong bones and weight management!

VARIATIONS

>Creamier: Add an additional chuck of banana 

>Thinner: Use 1 cup Coconut milk instead of Greek yogurt or use a regular yogurt

>Thinner: for a juice like consistency omit the banana and use fresh fruit instead of frozen

>Lower Carb: Swap Banana for small chunk of Avocado

>Flavor: Use a different type of berry

>Sensitive gut: use summer berries like blueberries, blackberries and raspberries instead of strawberries 

>Sweeter: add a bit of honey 

Prep Ahead Methods

FREEZE: peel bananas and freeze 

FOR WORK:

Make this smoothie ahead in the morning then take it to work with you. Keep it in your lunch box with an ice cold freezer pack or store it in the fridge at work until lunch time.

Meal Prep This Smoothie

  1. Place all ingredients except the liquid, for one smoothie into a one freezer safe bag.
  2. Let the air out and seal
  3. Store in Freezer until ready to blend

Ingredients

1C Greek yogurt, Plain

1C frozen strawberries

1 small chunks banana, frozen 

1 Tbsp Ground Flaxseed

2 Tbsp peanut butter

2C spinach (washed or ready to eat)

1/8 tsp ground ginger or 1 sliver fresh grated

Instructions

  1. Mix everything together in the blender.
  2. Blend about 1-2 minutes until smooth, thick and creamy!
